I was set the task of animating a drawing of my face change and morph into a fruit, then an animal and then back to my face in Adobe Animate. It was quite fun to animate, I started by creating a new workspace at 1920x1080p (pixels) and 24fps (frames per second). Drawing three keyframes one of my face, a banana and a Hammerhead Shark with some frames in-between to fill in the gaps and animate the transition. I was taught to fill in the in-between frames by going to the centre frame in-between each keyframe and drawing a mixture of the two keyframes using the 'Onion Skin' feature; which allows you to see an outline of different frames with lowered opacity using two adjustable brackets on the timeline. Then once I had that, I did the process again, this time going to the centre frame of the frame I just drew and a Keyframe and drawing that in-between frame. I did this process for all 57 frames of animation until the animation was complete.
The outcome I think turned out quite well there are a few frames that I think are little off and make the animation look a little goofy in areas. I think if I was to do this again I'd probably use an even number of frames because at times it was hard to determine an actual in-between frame between the Keyframes, which made some of the transitions seemingly last a little longer than another. I also think being a little more calculated with my frame count would have made the animation a little more fluent in areas since I wanted the animation to be less quick to jump past a finished transition. To fix that I could have dragged the Keyframes across more frames however, it started to look a quite jolty. Another minor issue I had was to do with me sometimes getting confused and drawing an in-between incorrectly and drawing it transitioning backwards but, this was just an issue with my own concentration so I'll try and be more attentive to detail next time.
