 Final Animation: Reflective Statement: I'm actually quite happy with the final result. It turned out better than I expected though, not completely to plan. I like the models and textures I think I did quite well on the general feel of the room. There's a couple things I realised after beginning to render the scene that wasn't great, detail wise, I forgot to add things like skirting across the floors and ceiling. As well as, a few other bits here and there although, working in Maya was a little odd at part way through the work as I had to swap computers because I had started working on the scene on a 'weaker' computer that had a bigger screen so, it was more comfortable to work on and it ran Maya 2018. But, I reached a point where the application kept crashing so I swapped to my laptop which has a later version of Maya and in doing so I came across an error message saying certain things weren't installed and as a result it made my scene extremely dark.  Other th...

 The process behind editing my finished renders all together in Adobe After Effects. To start editing my frames together in Adobe After Effects I had the scene exported as a sequence of PNG images, numbered 1-600. I then imported the sequence into After Effects, and added some text, a couple fade to blacks to make the full animation feel more complete.  Afterwards I tested the render, to see how fast things transitioned, etc and found parts of the animation played a little too fast despite the initial time taken to correct camera movements so, I went through the scene in After Effects to cut and time stretched various scenes until I was satisfied with the result.  Afterwards I froze the last frame to make the final fade to black seem less abrupt.  After the textures, lighting and modelling were fixed and complete, I set up and keyframed a camera to fly through the scene and showcase the details. Trying hard to create smooth camera movements across the scene. With my frame rate set to 12 and rendering settings adjusted accordingly. This animation spans across 600 frames so, at 12 frames per second I'm looking at about 50 seconds of animation work to show off my scene.

 To animate my scene I made all openable doors open as the camera approaches. By rotating the handles and moving the group pivot to the corner of the door to open the whole object.

 Before I had the lighting in the scene working as intended, I came across a problem whereas, the lights in the didnt light up anything. I looked up the issue and found that the solution might've been to adjust the size of the lights and their intensity and exposure settings. But, what I found was that when I bumped the exposure and intensity settings to what the solution said might work initially, it managed to brighten up the scene but it also bleached all my textures in the scene. So i had to gradually bring each setting down until I was happier with the result.  

My scene with a couple test renders with it using mesh lights and area lights.
