Character Design: Moodboards

 Outcast: Bully: Girl: Filmation: 1950s:

Character Design: Idea / Who Are They?

Prompts: Character: Teenager Theme: Filmation Trait: Outcast Setting: 1950's Highschool Scene: After the bullies have gone Animation: Hitting a ball Current idea: A character who is an outcast and plays baseball. Witnesses a bully, bullying another person from the bleachers on the field and throws his baseball at the bully to catch the bullies attention then intimidates them to make the bully leave. Update: Their will be a love triangle between the three characters (Outcast, Girl, then bully). The girl who was brought up a bit rough like the outcast character will be trying to fit in, in the Highschool environment and she has adjusted herself to be more of a regular 'prom princess' kind of girl. Maya: Pose Practice with MooM

Today we were tasked to learn and practice posing the character MooM in Maya. As a refresher to using rigs in Maya and to familiarize ourselves with the way joints work.  This rig has leg and arm controls that allow the control type to be switched from an IK to a FK. Meaning that we can switch the rigs arms and leg joints to bend by themselves based on the perimeters and limitations they were made with, or we can swap the control type to one that allows us to be able to bend and rotate the limbs and joints ourselves. Which can be more beneficial at times, for instance, if the pose required the hand to stay locked in a singular position whilst the body moved and wobbled.  Getting familiar and learning how the rig works: Muhammad Ali Pose: Usain Bolt Pose: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure:
